Welcome to my personal travel diaries, where I am sharing a slice of my adventures around the world. If you are intrigued about my journey, this is the place to follow along!
Hello I'm Deb!
Travel is a lifelong passion. I was born in a multi-cultural family, spending my childhood between my paternal country during the scholar year in France, and my maternal country during the summer months in Spain.
Growing up between the two countries opened my mind early on to different customs and cultures, and left me wanting for more.
My first overseas trip was to Egypt, when I was 9 years old. I vividly remember the excitement I felt about visiting a foreign land.
Needless to say, this incredible experience fuelled my passion to new heights.
I was very fortunate to go on more family holidays abroad as I grew up, and once I left home to study at university, I continued exploring by going on exchange in foreign countries, and visiting new places as often as I possibly could.
This has led me to live in six different countries, and travel to over 50 countries to date.

About This Blog
At the end of 2022, my husband and I embarked on a trip around the world. From our base in Spain, we travel around to neighbouring destinations and far away lands.
This blog is a passion project which has started as a way to keep friends and family updated on our travels abroad. As this platform grows, I hope it can also inspire others to engage in similar endeavours and discover the beautiful wide world which is around us.

Travelling is more than a hobby; it is a way of life. It helps open our eyes to new cultures, experiences, cuisine, and opportunities. I have been fortunate enough to travel to over 50 countries to date and I can't wait to keep exploring. While it isn't possible to travel full time, my wife and I have taken the year to forge some new memories and experience as much as possible. I encourage you to do the same!
I've always loved adventure travel and particularly skiing. I worked in Australia's largest ski wholesale company for four years before, during, and after the pandemic. I've devoted a lot of holidays to this sport and have managed to ski in 25 destinations. I've also enjoyed bungee jumping, skydiving, scuba diving, and white water rafting to name a few. I'm often on the lookout for activities and destinations that take me out of my comfort zone and provide a new point of difference.
If I had to create a shortlist of my favourite countries to date, you'd find Egypt, Italy, and New Zealand right up there. Croatia, Iceland, Scotland, and Spain are very close contenders too, and there's barely a bee's Johnson between all of them.
