A little bit about me
Travel is a lifelong passion. I was born in a multi-cultural family, spending my childhood between my paternal country during the scholar year in France, and my maternal country during the summer months in Spain.
Growing up between the two countries opened my mind early on to different customs and cultures, and left me wanting for more.
My first overseas trip was to Egypt when I was 9 years old. I vividly remember the excitement I felt about visiting a foreign land.
Needless to say, this incredible experience fuelled my passion to new heights.
I was very fortunate to go on more family holidays abroad as I grew up, and once I left home to study at university, I continued exploring by going on exchanges in foreign countries and visiting new places as often as I possibly could.
This has led me to live in six different countries and travel to over 30 countries to date.
A little bit about this blog
2020 was a very difficult year for everyone. For me, it was the year I lost my burgeoning career in tourism, and was separated from my family by tightly shut borders.
Taking a year off to travel had been a floating idea, however, upon realising how easily things can be taken away, my husband and I decided to make this dream a reality. We worked hard to save as much as we could afford to and started planning our journey.
Three years later, our dream is happening.
The intent behind this blog is to keep family and friends updated along our journey, but also to inspire similar endeavours. As we embark on our journey, this blog will be filling up with our stories from abroad.
